It's Bluebonnet Time!     I love the smell of bluebonnets! The sweet bluebonnet blossoms, to me, just smells like spring.  Several bloom outside my window! Even my granddaughter loves the smell of bluebonnets.  Smelling Spring Bluebonnets! In fact, she's been fascinated with the bluebonnet since she was a baby! Just like Grandma!  Waiting and Praying.....Sometimes that's all you can do! During these cold winter days, I ended up waiting in a Hospital ER. There's nothing you can really do but wait and pray. Time seems to go slow, every time I check my phone for the time, only a minute or so passes by.  Waiting and Praying I was remembering the wait was better the way my granddaughter Olive Denbina waited. She brought her 2 stuffed friends Sparkly and Kitty to Wait and pray with us. Sometimes you just want company or a friend, to sit beside you. Well, there always seems to be a lot of Christmas Decorations and seems like the most time consuming to put them away. Next Holiday: Valentine's Day, at least for my family. Thanks to the Denbina's for helping me re-decorate the house!  Now I'm ready for our annual Valentine Tea Party! House is decorated for Valentine's Day Dinner and Tea Party with help from Team Denbina. Me and my granddaughter usually make homemade heart cakes for our tea party.  Decorating Homemade Heart Cakes!  Now I'm getting excited for Valentine's Day! 

 Happy New Year! 2024 is Here! This year my goal for myself is to be Joyous. To Have Joy! This will be difficult for me since life has been difficult lately, especially with what my Doctor told me and having a not so ideal family situation.  But, I am so glad to be alive! Hopefully, finding Joy in my life will help me life another year! And if not will at least I went with Joy! in my heart! Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Cheer Olive, Cheer! Go Olive, Go! Competitive Cheer is not like your normal sideline cheerleaders cheering on football or basketball players, but it's more tumbling, flipping, pyramids and throwing cheerleaders in the air. And cheerleaders are Heavy! Even the small, skinny ones! I've been suffering from the consequences of a hernia and the consequences of hernia repair for all of my adult life. And it's been a medical nightmare for me. My Daughter, has suffered from a different type of weight lifting injury in the form of a cartilage tear. I enjoy spending time with my granddaughter but dislike her acting like a male cheerleader and lifting other humans.  Olive Lifting Another Skinny but Heavy Cheerleader Love you Olive, but not always loving your choices.  Great job this weekend and it was a joy to see you compete. One of our Traditions: Gingerbread house Decorating One of my favorite Christmas Decorations for our Christmas table is our Gingerbread House. We usually make one in early December and by New Years! it's mostly eaten! Yes, when family members go by they usually take a piece off the House! It's one of the things I enjoy! Even my granddaughter decorates her own Gingerbread House! I start collecting candy after Halloween. The more candy, in my opinion, the better the House!
